History

The Lalor Football Club was established in 1955, developed in a working class, blue-collar area of the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. The Lalor Football Club is a family club that is built on the strong foundations of hard work, pride, respect, honesty, loyalty and fair play. We are a proud club with a tribal supporter base and strong history, including the history-making triple premiership sides of 1991, 92, 93 and the rampaging sides of 1998. The triumphs coupled with our all conquering club ( seniors, reserves, u 19's)of 2001 and again in 2004, Our trophy cabinet remains the envy of many of our challengers.

In recent times, Lalor has focused towards home grown youth policy, which reaped great rewards winning the Division 2 Premiership in 2007. It was great reward for the hundreds of people who have sacrificed time, money and effort over the years, to see the club return to its former glory days. Having tasted this success with second and even third generation family names and one jumper players makes our victories so much sweeter in this current market of locally paid success.

Anyone who was fortunate enough to witness the 07 final series, and in particular the Grand Final, would attest to the Bloods character shown by our very youthful group of players through out the entire club. when our back was against the wall and no one gave us a chance the relentlessness to win at all costs was inspiring.

That character to overcome adversity , along with a desire for success, a willingness for challenge, and loyalty to our jumper will hold us in good stead for the many, many seasons still to come.

Being a part of the Lalor Football Club isn't purchased it's something that comes from within and it bonds team mates, supporters and sponsors
